But conversion for or after marriage should not be encouraged. The husband and wife can practice the religion they belong to before marriage. The children born out of such marriages should choose their religion after the age of 18 years. If one partner needs to change religion before marriage, that should be done only with the consent of family members and through court. This is required to rule out any coercion.

Gentleman, I don't know about the legality of marriages solemnised by Quazis, Pandits, etc. But the marriages solemnised by the church is more legal than what is registered in any Government institution. Gentleman, I don't know about the legality of marriages solemnised by Quazis, Pandits, etc. But the marriages solemnised by the church is more legal than what is registered in any Government institution. The church records are clear from the day the institution called Church came into existence at a time the Government of India was a distant dream. Will you have the same in the temples which were in existence before the formation of GOI.
